Flashforward: I feel asleep for 24.7 minutes on April 26

I am taking an mandatory unpaid day off from my job today (part of the reason I’m posting so much) - and as part of the revelry of not being at work and not getting paid for it - I decided I was going to finally watch seven episodes of ABC’s Flashforward that have accumulated like gnarly dust bunnies in my DVR.

Herein lies my problem: this show is sucking the life out me - literally. It’s like eating a dessert pizza - full of everything I love, but somehow it’s not enough.

So far I have made it to up ep. 14 “Better Angels” - only after folding socks, falling asleep, counting cracks in the ceiling, texting, twittering tumblring, shaving my eyebrows, going to McDonald’s, and checking online for my tax return.

Can anyone assure me that it gets better? Cuz I’m about to quit it like a bad habit…

For the two people or so who care - Flash Forward is coming back and ABC’s gonna make you like it. I don’t know what it is about this show - but I can’t quit it….not quite yet. Hopefully a new showrunner, and the addition of some new actors (Michael Ealy and James Callis), along with the progression of the storyline (if I see Penny in mood lighting cheating on William Shakespeare one more goddamn time) will rejuvenate this show.

Dear Celia, I don’t know your last name and I don’t know where you live but I know you have two young boys, twins I believe and I know you didn’t have a flash forward. I understand how terrifying that must be, how powerless you must be feeling. I want you to know that you are not alone and that your situation is not as hopeless as you think. Our paths were meant to cross, I didn’t know how, I didn’t know when. But things have changed now, things are no longer going to unfold as I have feared. My gift to you is release from that dread, from the feeling that you are no longer in control. We will never meet, I will never know you so live your life, live every day and know that the future  is unwritten, make the most of it.

FlashForward-1x07

;(

This was probably one of the best episode thus far. Sorry Jett Jackson had to die for us to get here though.

it’s, oh, so quiet

As much as I bitch about what this show does wrong, this was a good sequence.

I’m kinda leaning towards my feelings be the same as this image implies, but I gotta give this show a chance. It’s been okay so far…

But CSI: Miami is awesome and Law & Order is for old people.  BAD ANALOGY!

No, GOOD ANALOGY. Nothing is better than the original, everything else is just a cheesy rip off. I guess when some shows try to be complex… *puts on shades* they just end up getting lost. YEEEEAAAAAHhhhhh…
